![]() You’re planning to renovate your house interior? A checklist will help you check everything you need to buy, throw away, change, etc., to reach the desired results.Ĭhecklists provide a concise and clear way to organize and manage complex tasks. You’re preparing a party? A checklist will help you to buy/order everything you need. You’re going on a trip and packing your suitcases? A checklist will help you to pack everything that you will need while traveling. However, they also may be used for living needs. It may be used for various purposes – project management, quality control, task management, etc. What is a checklist?Ī checklist is a list of items/manipulations/processes that must be completed (very often in a specific order) to ensure that a task is achieved successfully. It’s easy to use and easy to share with anyone on the Internet, so they can admire your progress and achievements or track it with you. The xTiles Checklist Template was made according to the checklists’ main purpose, with room for your specific needs and additional information. Having a ready-to-go checklist template, the only manipulation you need to do is add the information and then mark what is done. The stage where you make a document and try to format everything, so it will be easy to understand and use is unnecessary now. While a checklist allows you to shorten the time you spend reviewing every process and component of your task or project, a checklist template gives you the opportunity to skip the technical part and go straight to filling in the data. It will help you ensure that everything is indeed done and nothing is missed. You need a checklist to decrease it and ensure all the tasks are done correctly, in a defined sequence, and on time.Ī checklist template is a tool to keep track of all of your tasks. When many people are in charge simultaneously, a certain amount of chaos is inevitable. That is a common case for big teams who work on complex tasks and projects. However, in the end, you probably will see that the result is far from prediction because that one tiny element was lost. ![]() Those that might seem less important might get lost among more significant ones. When your task consists of many much smaller tasks, it’s easy to miss something. ![]()

With Dragon Rounds the Ranger has 3 chances to light a target on fire. Rapid Fire has enormous synergy with both Locked On, Executioner, and special ammunition. With Rapid Fire, the Ranger is a finisher, a burner, a flat out murderer. Before this rank up, the Ranger is mostly a finisher. This is the Ranger’s class defining ability. Its utility diminishes as aim improves, and is less relevant for Rangers that focus on direct fire, given all their bonuses to hit. Grazing Fire is not good this late in the campaign. More offense is always needed, and this is a solid pick at this rank. Still, there are numerous late game enemies with high dodge, or high defense, or high HP. ![]() During combat, Rangers want to use both their actions for shooting, rather than moving Implacable allows them to do exactly that, and still relocate if desired.Īlternatives: Bring’Em On or Grazing Fire.īring’Em On is very good, but after getting Rapid Fire at GSGT rank, this ability is likely to be overkill in those situations it actually procs, such as when shooting flanked enemies. Or if the Ranger can finish off an enemy with the first shot, a free move can then give the Ranger a better shot on the next target. For example, after putting the Ranger in a dangerous position to get a flank, implacable will allow the Ranger to pull back to safety. Implacable must be seen in practice to be properly understood and appreciated. Just like Ever Vigilant this is another action economy ability I never would have selected had I not seen another player using it. I tend to prefer Shredder, Venom and Dragon Rounds on my Rangers, and so I don’t take this ability. This is a solid alternative to Center Mass, especially if you plan to equip Talon Rounds. It seems about as good as Center Mass, but with more variance in damage output. It grants some additional crit chance, very useful when targeting exposed enemies. Additionally it enables critical hits on overwatch shots, resulting in outright kills much of the time.Īggression is very good. Cool Under Pressure adds +10 aim on reaction shots, thus improving your chance to shut down enemy activation fire. The next best thing you can do is have a soldier on overwatch with high aim. Shinobi scouting is one way to prevent this, but your scout can’t be everywhere. ![]() Some of the worst hits I take are from incoming enemies that have flanking shots on my soldiers. Incoming enemies can shoot you - that is, unless you shoot them first with an overwatch shot. The reason is that it provides both offense and defense. Rifles have lower base damage than other primary weapons, and Rangers shoot a lot.Īlternatives: Cool Under Pressure or AggressionĬool Under Pressure doesn’t seem great if you are not specializing at overwatch and taking Rapid Reaction at GSGT rank, but it is still very good if you also have Ever Vigilant. Both Barrels kills most everything, and the Ranger isn’t usually that close to the enemy for this ability to matter when shooting with a rifle.Ĭenter Mass is very good. Just shooting twice will often result in very similar probabilities of killing the target, and eventually Walk Fire becomes obsolete.Ĭlose and Personal is okay, but it is often overkill. ![]() Walk Fire is slightly better in LWOTC than in LW2 - 66% damage (instead of 50%). One important caveat: Several ancillary actions will cancel Ever Vigilant, such as opening doors, reloading, or picking up loot.Īlternatives: Walk Fire or Close and Personal. On timed missions it makes it easy for the Ranger to stay with the squad while also overwatching, and when the Ranger does end up out of position, it allows him to move all the way across the battlefield and still contribute on that turn. Ever Vigilant vastly improves the Ranger’s action economy. I didn’t even consider taking this ability until I saw other players use it. ![]() With this ability the Ranger gets to move twice and still overwatch. ![]() ![]() ![]() Padaille walks away to the confused crowd An admin of the Xi-Yu family, if I'm not mistaken?" ![]() In later stages, you’ll be darting towards green globules of slime, using them as a launchpad to reach the next area, or unlocking the flame skill that moves cuts diagonally through the screen, smashing up glass walls along the way.īoss battles in the game all feel pretty intuitive too, and though they’re far from easy, they aren’t hair-pulling to the extent of abdicating from your superhero responsibilities and pick up a game of chess instead. Source: Screen captureĭashing across the screen is the most fulfilling. With that in mind, she’s not a Peter Parker-type hero as she’ll eventually slide down the walls. She’s like a toddler that’s caked in, well, cake, as she sticks to everything. The way Josie sticks to the walls takes a bit of getting used to as it’s mildly distracting. If you get stuck, give the Zen Mode a go, and it’ll build your confidence up to play with the S Class heroes.īut Sunblaze isn’t that brutal, it’s pretty fair, and despite the chirpy soundtrack that is best played while sipping some fruit-infused green tea (don’t get me started), it has a wicked, self-knowing sense of humour – especially in the dialogue sequences. My approach was cack-handed.īest of all, each chapter displays how many times you died. What’s the opposite of finesse? Guileless, inadequate, incompetent… let’s go with cack-handed. There are only six chapters in the game, but there’s more than enough stages within each one You’d be naive in thinking that would continue for a brutal platformer like this, but this is the type of game that has you barricading the doors, removing all distractions and perfecting your timing to smash each level with finesse. ![]() Everything was quaint, in its proper place and far from chaotic. ![]() The first time I booted up Sunblaze, y’know, inserted the disks and typed Load “”, the option didn’t occur to me. Zen Mode is a very flattering way to say ‘for pussies’. Wha.?! It’s already a testing game, but if you eat this sort of game for breakfast, the added challenge might be for you. Keep collecting them, and they unlock challenges. In addition to tinkering with these Tetris blocks of death, there are optional datacubes to collect. You’ll have to dash across one side of the screen, trigger a block to fall, dart back to the place you were at before (now sinking), then jump onto the platform you pulled down. There isn’t any visible timer pushing you forward, staring down from the top of the screen like a disappointed parent. After a couple of silly mistakes and some explosive clouds of blood, it became apparent how critical timing is. The first couple of stages in Sunblaze, elegantly fused as the room digitally refreshes itself without delay, were easy peasy. After falling to my death numerous time, I surmised these might be there to assist me with my rock climbing aspirations. On the first inspection, these looked like blades would protrude out, so I avoided them. She also has a wall-climbing ability as standard, but it’s vital to grab on to the groove embedded in the walls. Then we have the precision timing that was last seen in Sockventure, only Josie isn’t so floaty and manoeuvres around the screen as one would expect of an assumed teenage superhero.īesides a dashing costume that may or may not disguise her identity, Josie can dart across the screen in a sporadic dash effect. ![]() We have the gratuitous Super Meat Boy claret engulfing the screen each time she lands on a spike or has something weighty crush her into homemade jam. It aims to destroy Josie, while she has other plans: …to become a superhero! (and escape the endless pain that the room inflicts). Disney Dreamlight Valley Early Access Preview ![]() ![]() ![]() I think my playtime was around one hour and forty minutes. When these gang animation moments happened, I felt like I missed out, which was damaging in a game this intimate. The parallel animation had a really cool effect, but made it impossible to tell where I should be looking. These were the low moments.ĭue to the 4-panel layout, animation and story advancement could occur in multiple places at once. ShortcomingsĪt times I had no idea what was going on and found myself pawing at the screen hoping that something productive might happen. I could look at a set of panels and feel my way through the puzzles. I eventually internalized the strange rules of Gorogoa and that knowledge became an extension of myself. This kept Gorogoa from becoming too cumbersome while also not dragging me through it.Īt its best, the puzzles felt deeply intuitive. These pulses gently guided or highlighted actions I could take… not necessarily what I ought to do. Touchable portions of the game world would pulse if I let the game sit for too long. I don’t recall having to read a single word in Gorogoa. Gorogoa didn’t instill a sense of narrative or even adventure. Every aspect of Gorogoa was hand drawn and colored in Photoshop. I enjoyed figuring them out and seeing them through, as well as witnessing the effects that they had on the world. Quite a few of the lengthy puzzle sequences were so much fun. It was different from anything else that I had played before. When I started playing this, its innovation caught me off guard. It’s exceptionally rare to encounter a puzzle game that comes up with a completely new type of puzzle. How could I change the game world so that the boy within it could accomplish his objective? Standouts Instead, I changed the world and the boy within it reacted to the changes. I also never took any action within the game’s world. Interestingly, in Gorogoa I did not play as the protagonist. In taking these actions, the world within the game would change, allowing the boy to take action. Panels could also be overlaid on top of each other. Panels could be aligned against one another. Panels could be split by dragging one layer off of a panel, creating an entirely new panel. The gameplay was in creating interactions between the various panels. At any given point during the game, between 1 and 4 of those panels were filled with beautiful hand-drawn art. ![]() Gorogoa played through a unique interface that I can best describe as a 4-panel comic book. To achieve these ends I had to help the protagonist attain 5 colored orbs. I’m not exactly sure what I was accomplishing by completing the quest within Gorogoa, but it was nonviolent and I sure had a great time doing it. With Watt in tow, Miley zips through a dozen short, sweet tracks that touch on synth-pop, New Wave, and windswept acoustic ballads, mixing and matching styles as one maps outfits in a department store fitting room. The inspiration this time is the tuneful pop-rock convergence of the early ’80s, a pivot telegraphed in a series of covers of rock hits like Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” Blondie’s “Heart of Glass,” and Hall and Oates’s “Maneater.” The change is apparent from the first notes of the Plastic Hearts opener “WTF Do I Know?”, where a fat electric bass line played by producer Andrew Watt opens up into a hard-charging chorus bordering on pop-punk. ![]() Like Miley and Mark Ronson’s 2018 hit “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” Plastic Hearts unites the singer’s wide-ranging tastes effortlessly. On last year’s much better She Is Coming EP, Cyrus seemed interested in a sound that reconciled the many moods of her career, an aim that’s revisited on Plastic Hearts, Cyrus’s new and seventh solo album. Her reaction, again, was to get as far away from the scene as possible, slamming the sex-positive strip club music she’d pursued overeagerly in the Bangerz era and returning to square one with the squeaky-clean pop-rock of 2 017’s charming (if clinical) reset, Younger Now. Cyrus caught heat in those years as conversations about cultural appropriation challenged white artists adding flavor to their work with approximated Blackness that didn’t feel authentic or appreciative enough of the source material. Experimenting with the Flaming Lips in the Dead Petz year, she sought to drown her pop star image in a glittery, Day-Glo ooze. This restlessness made the Bangerz era cloying in a way that didn’t serve the music. In the drastic swing between between her roots and rock records of the late 2000s and the pop and hip-hop moves she pulled at the beginning of the next decade, there is massive tension between the singer’s pedigree as the daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus (and goddaughter to icon Dolly Parton) and her desire to be seen as something, anything else. It’s a question Miley struggled with long after she left the Disney Channel fold.
